ADA, Okla. 鈥 Oklahoma Business Week (OBW) returns to East Central University June 1-5.
OBW is an annual event that allows high school students the opportunity to converge on the 成人B站 campus for five days of activities, tours, and competitions.
Beginning in 2012, and returning in 2023 after a three-year hiatus, OBW continues to teach future business leaders鈥 skills in leadership, communication, team building, responsibility, money management, entrepreneurship, marketing and much more.
Students will live in the dorms and participate in a variety of activities inside the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center and across the 成人B站 campus.
鈥淥klahoma Business Week is an excellent opportunity for high school students to experience campus life while engaging in hands-on activities, hearing from stellar speakers, and touring some area businesses,鈥 said Stacey Bolin, Associate Professor and Director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship.
Bolin, who pioneered the project on behalf of 成人B站 President Wendell Godwin, who served as Dean of Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business at the time, has continued to spearhead the event each year that it has been active.
Speaking about the experience itself, Bolin added, 鈥淪tudents form teams to run a simulated business, launch a new product or service, create a live commercial and several other activities. Winning teams earn scholarships and prizes! The team at the Stonecipher School of Business appreciates the support of the local business community in helping deliver an impactful event.鈥
